4.0 upgrade info?????

ok, im new here. but what i am looking to do is i have a 1985 tvr 280i sports car. this car uses the ford 2.8 v6 and waht i want to do is get more power out of my car, so i was planning on boliting a 4.0L v6 into the car. i belive it should bolt right in. how ever will a mustang 5 speed tranny bolt up to the back of this motor w/ a ranger/explorer bellhousing? also i was thinking of going w/ the sohc as apposed to the ohv motor, for the reasons that the 97-99 explorers have like 205 hp stock, is this a good choice? also what is avaliable for proformance up grades, i would like to go w/ a super charger that i have seen out there for this motor and what about alum heads and new cams? i am very impressed w/ the number this motor can provide, originally i was gonna put a 5.0 v8 in but that motor weighs like 460lbs, and i would imagine the 4.0 is about 150 lbs less. what is the actual weight of the 4.0?? b/c the 2.8 i have in my tvr weighs like 305 lbs.

also i would like to know how tall the 4.0 motor is i want to make sure that i have enough clearance under the hood, that could determine if i was to put a sohc or an ohv motor.

has anyone tried to motify a super charger for their motor. what i mean is take one off a super coupe or a buick and make it work for their motor. i have seen people do this for cars that dont have kits avaliable.
