I was thinking about putting the leaf springs from a 4 door explorer on my sport and wasn't sure if all i needed to get was the leaf springs, or if i needed to buy anything else to put them on. thanks, austin

I don't know the answer...but I can tell you that there must be a bazillion threads that mention this. Try the ol' search button out and you should find all kinds of thoughts.

I think the springs should transfer right over. The mono-leaf spring has a spacer that takes up the gap where multi-leaves would go, so the u-bolts and brackets would be the same. Of course, if the fasteners are rusted really bad, you might have to replace them.

i put 4 door leafs on in the summer. they bolt right in without no problems. just remember which is the front and the rear part of the spring that's all. i was able to re-use all the hardware as well, but some people may, or will tell you to get new u-bolts.
