4 x 4 light blinking

Last night I noticed the "4x4 Hi" light on the instrument panel blinking intermittently on my 2002 4.0V6. Anybody know anything about this?

do a search here for 4x4CM or control module.
Its very common on the 02's and its mounted behind the glove box.
squeeze the sides of the glove box, and it will swing down. The module is bolted to the blower motor and has 2 clips of wires going into it.
