410 - When I finally get my garage done, I'll post pics... but yeah, trannies on stands, trannies on supports. parts in the rafters etc.....
Section525 - And no there is nothing wrong with pulling one off your 99 and swapping.
As for the Tester: The trans tester will do a couple things. It will let you check your solenoids "In the car", for resistance etc.... it will tell you if the problem is harness, whether it is case harness or PCM harness. Plus it is kinda cool to shift the car from a box in the driver's compartment and to know everything works. Actually that is the strong suit of the tester.... it allows you to run a computer controlled trannie without the computer... that way if there IS a problem, you know if it is trannie, or inputs from the computer - and a lot of times trannies are rebuilt that are just FINE, it is the computer's fault (well actually not the computer mainly, it gets bad inputs and makes bad outputs - GIGO (garbage in, garbage out))... and after rebuild the problem shows up again and gets fixed before you even know it (odd stuff like throttle position sensors, speed sensors etc).
Name a time at Sac Metro at the AM/PM and I'll be there. We can work out whatever we need to on your return trip at that time. I am NOT sending a Rotunda trans tester to Mexico however <g>.
