I have a question for you guys.....
I have a 2000 AWD EX (automatic) and I started to slow for a school zone and when I did the suv started like downshifting on it's own. It did it everytime I would slow down, so I went straight home. Then the next day I went to leave for work & found that I have no reverse.
I've never had anything else happen.... no clunking sounds, no check engine light lite.
Tried putting it in N to push it back- but it seems locked up. I can't go forward right now, because I park up to a fence. So I assume that D is still o.k.
Any idea of what could have happened?
Do you think it's a major melt down of the tranny?
Thanks for the help.
