Searched around on google and here could not find the information I'm looking for
I'm hoping to shed a few pounds up front by removing the front diff and cv axles. What would I have to do to the hub so I don't do any damage

Do you have a 4x4 or AWD? And if your trying to get rid of weight you would benefit from getting rid of your T-case and front driveshaft so that you would be true 2WD. As for the hubs im not sure you can just get rid of axles. You could find another trucks 2WD front suspension.

Well the vehicle is actually a 4wd ranger, that I'm, putting a 5.0 into. I've taken apart a 2wd4r70 for its tails haft and tail housing to convert the donor explorer transmission to 2wd. I will be losing the tcase and front driveshaft obviously

You have to keep the outer part of each half shaft. The hub will fall apart without it. Just cut the straps on the outer boot and pull it apart.
