'91 Sport MODIFIED!
I have a 91 exp. sport. 302 w/t-5, 3:73 rear gear and 4 wheel disc brakes. I would like to add a 4x front drive train. I want it ti be a manual transfer case. The frt. drive train is locally available for $850. Any thoughts???

Yea and its a stick. Do it for sure and dont forget the passenger side axle bracket if different between the two so make sure to grab it as well.

Mods...!

The truck has been lowered just a little...approx. 2" w/competition suspesion from Steeda(frt) and lowering blocks (rear), Bullit wheels,'97 Mustang GT interior, custo, dual exhaust(down one side), FRP headers, E303 cam, 1.6 roller rockers, GT 40P heads. I,m trying to fiqure out how to post some pics of this project...! any thoughts?

The best thing is to go elite. but you can upload you pics to photobucket, and then link them here.

just curious. whoever you got this from put a mustang interior and drive train in it. do you hav any information on that motor and trans swap because those are the exact motro and trans i wunna put in my explorer. are ther tags stamped on ther to kno who did it if it was professional or anything?

mods...

the motor is a '97 explorer 5.0. Transmission is a World Class t-5 w/ cobra ratio. The mods to the interior allowed the frt. seats to bolt nicely. We modified the rear upholstery set to match the explorer rear seat. We used an Accel Gen7 computer. I'll work on getting some pics placed on the forum.

Mods...!

the intent if foe it to be a street thing...I want to pull a boat in and out of the ramps more effectively...and it sounds like it would just be fun to do. !!!
Pics will be posted soon on Elite

cool. so how "easily" did that trans and motor combo go into your explorer? i'd love to do exactly that!.. i kno you need to buy lots of adapter parts and whatnot. but i am asking about fabrication and such. what was the extent done in that dept.?

:burnout:

awaiting pics of this beast :p

4x4 is not what you want if you are wanting street traction/performance (4x4 + pavement = broken parts). You will want all wheel drive. Not sure how to go about setting up an awd x-fer case, wouldn't think it'd be horrible, most people go the other way though haha. Do some searching, surely someone here has done it.
