Just curious, is this happening on pavement with the hubs locked?

Please don't mistake this for trying to be smart a##. But I know mine when locked skips along the pavment when turning, especially when going slow like when backing up in a parking spot. Now on dirt you don't notice it. I think you have good working hubs and might just not be used properly working hubs.

yea thanks i noticed pulling in ands backing out of parking spots in 4X4 it does it, this is considered normal??

For my manual locking Warn hubs, yes it is. I don't lock them untill I need them.
Now I don't know about auto hubs.

Why are you in 4x4 on pavement? It is extremely hard on the tires and driveline. It can destroy the transfer case in a 1st gen Explorer.

There is no mechanism to allow for difference in rotation between front and rear driveshafts. As long the wheels are pointed straight ahead, the driveshafts are turning essentially the same speed. The more you steer off center, the greater the front/rear difference becomes. The result is tire scrub/stuttering, and eventually hub failure, u-joint failure, or transfer case failure.
