4x4 problems

Got some snow tonight and went to turn my 4x4 high into gear, and nothing. so i just drove around just like any other day, but i was sliding a good bit. Now im wondering why my 4x4 wont engage. Both high and low. Anybody have any suggestions on what my problem could be or maybe how i could fix this. Much appreciated.

Disconnected the battery lately?? From wat ive been reading its an issue with the 02 models and the 4x4 control module.

control module...i just replaced it on my 02 ex....its located behind the glove box...go to www.silverstatefordparts.com ...cheapest you'll find it

just fixed the problem by disconnecting the neg. on the battery and let it idle for like 15 mins. 4x4 works just like it always has. Thank god it wasnt anything else. Times are rough. But thanks for the two posts.
