1999 Ford Ranger 3.0
I have a 99 ranger with a 00 explorer 5.0.
Its going to be needing am exhaust soon, once its finished. Currently I only have new stock manifolds on.
I do not want to see a CEL, and do not want to pull the bulb.
Is there a way to trick the primary o2 sensors or a way to not run primary cats without a CEL?
Otherwise, what's a good primary catalytic converter to buy that won't throw a code, but light on the pocket?

You can use a tuner to turn off the O2 sensors if you have a custom tune done. i found magna flow mandrel bent pipes with high flow cats on amazon for about 200$ per side which i know isn't cheap but its a nice product and its cheaper then the factory replacement stuff!

I know that a custom tune can turn off the rear o2 sensors, but can it do it to the primary/upstream o2 sensors?

You can run primary and secondaries without a cell just get the big anti Fowler drill it out and put on secondarie o2.

You need the Primary O2's for fuel control, the secondary, or post cats can be "Tricked", either with a tune, or with Non Foulers. You can even run with no Cats, and it will be fine. Although for legal reasons, the best way is to replace with high flow cats, and make sure all emission devices are working how they are intended to work. Plus I am pretty sure talking about modifying emission devices is against forum rules? I could be wrong, but I have seen threads shut down because of it.
