In a stock Explorer with a 5.0 and AWD, how much room is there between the live front axle and the engine oil pan? Does anyone have a photo of the area?
I'm trying to figure out if it's possible fit a 5.0 over top of a D35 with the Center Axle Disconnect, without a body lift. 410Fortune was going to try swapping a CAD axle into his 96/99 a while ago, but it seems like he just quit mentioning that project and it faded into oblivion. His inbox was also full so I couldn't message him directly about it.
