I was looking for a General Discussion area but I figured this would do.
There is just a couple things I'd like to know about a 5.0L Swap.
Me and a buddy are thinking of doing this..well not really thinking...More GOING to do it
He's got a ranger and I'm looking at a 91 X Eddie Bauer. What I'd like to know is...For the swap I would need a new oil pan right? The dual sump pan? The same as a mustang 5.0 Swap. . . Also would it be easier to swap in a carbbed motor? rather than EFI..I'm dreading a mess of electrical wires.
This is going to be a strictly muddin truck..but It does need to pass safety although in this town it isn't that hard. Also Im wanting to keep it automatic Which trannies can I use that will bolt up the 5.0L (which would probably come out of a 150)
