5.0L Rear Main Seal

How hard is it to replace the rear main seal? Do you have to take the engine completely out of the truck or just drop down the transmission?

I havent done the 5.0, but on the 4.0, you drop the transmission and you have a straight shot at the seal.

I suppose you could also pull the engine out instead.

drop the trans. screw in two self tapping screws into the seal, and use side cutters to pull it out.
