Its drivin me crazy what size tranny line disconnect tool do i need the to disconnect the tranny line from the slave!!! I have a 3/8's but it is to small.
I'm doin the conversion but im having a little trouble. I have the the 5 speed but i didnt grab the wiring harness I plan on NOT using the clutch engauge switch that is hooked to the pedels. So if I dont hook it up I can start it in gear right? The only thing I want to work is the back up lights. Can I do it with out the harness and the manuel computer?

You can use a flat head screwdriver to get the clutch line loose. Just push the white piece in all the way around then give the line a good pull.

If you don't hook up the clutch switch it will start In gear without the clutch pushedin so you have to be careful with that.

Yup, that's what I used, too. Smallest one I had, maybe 1/4". The trick is that white ring needs to get pushed in farther than you think it needs to!

I thought I read somwhere that if the clutch switch wasn't hooked up then not only the back up lights wouldn't work, but there was some problem with the cruise control-- I don't remeber the exact details though-- just trying to help.
