5R55W OD band replacement

Here's my question. 5R55W trans, had issue with OD servo bore. Installed transgo kit and o-ring modified servo. Adjusted band and adjuster turned in quite far but the band is not broken. I'm thinking of pulling the trans away and replacing the band, then installing the flow valve that came with the transgo kit while the pump is off. Is this possible without further teardown, or should I be able to access the band and wedges with just the pump off? Transmission is good otherwise, no reason to do a full rebuild and I don't have the money to pop loose for a full kit or time to do it anyways. Also, has anyone noticed a difference with installing the transgo or sonnax flow valve in the pump? What exactly does this affect? Line pressure? Thanks for reading, hopefully someone can let me know what they think.

You won't be able to access the bands without removing the pan and entire valve body assembly. Once you've pulled that and the pump you might as well rebuild...
