Well I've been looking for some HID kits the past couple days, and want a nice blue look. I've come to the conclusion that 8000k delivers a very nice blue color, so now I need to choose a kit. I don't care about high-beams, and don't wanna spend tons of money, I'd rather buy these on eBay. Right now I'm looking at these 2 auctions: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=36476&item=2419532864 AND http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=36476&item=2419355726 - Do these look like pretty good quality and which do you think would be best, if either?

I have had 6000k and now upgraded to 8000k High/Low kit so I have some exposure to different kits. And IMO, both of those kits look a little cheesy. The way the ballist and wires are do not look of too good of quality. I would recomend any kit that uses a Philips ballist. You can find some nice kits arround. Also check out:

black, i have the 8k HID plus kit and the ballast says "hella" on the stamped metal. Did they change manufacturers? Mine also has no hi/lo on it, but that dosen't matter as i'm making my light bar "hi"

these kits do look suspect. the major issue is you will need at least 3' of cables to get the ballast connec ted to the batery. (even as it is, the passenger side ballast line is strung over the engine and held in place with zip ties... i would much rather have had it run around the edge of the engine compartment)
