89 Stang to 94 X 5.0 Swap

Planning on dropping in a 89 H.O. into my newly-acquired 94 X. After reading through several dozen threads on this subject something came to mind I hadn't considered until now.

I'm not quite sure how i'm going to transfer the wiring from the 89 to the 94. I'm thinking just pull the main harness from the car, the computer, etc just swap them into the Explorer. What i want to know is will this work? Or am i looking at having to splice a bunch of wires?

...If you were in California, then this would be pertinent, but not everything that you would need for the swap...

Ha, never noticed i didn't put my Location info up there. Its there now, but i'm in Mississippi. Smog stuff shouldn't be a factor, but i'm going to attempt to keep the emissions system working. I'm also trying to preserve the EFI setup as well, but if it becomes impractical I'm also considering slapping a good intake and 2 or 4bbl on it.
