9" swap question

I was wondering what width 9" rear end I would need to swap in my 94 Limited? I would like to keep it the same width that I have now. I have a 9" right now with a 58 3/4" width from flange to flange. Is this to narrow?

Your tires will be about a 1/2 inch in from where they sit now. Why swap in a 9inch diff? Unless it has disk brakes or better gearing it's a downgrade from what you have.

I have heard that before but I never had good luck with 8.8. Broke to many axles in my mustang and rangers

Both of which had 28 spline axles. The Ex 8.8 has larger diameter, 31 spline axles.

Stock vs stock, the 31 spline 8.8 is stronger then the common 28 spline 9".
