91 4.0ohv 4x4 posi 8.8 rearend?

my truck does the one wheel spin just wanted to know if it was a posi rear end cause i have rebuilt rearends in mustangs and i have seen the stock rebuilt posi go hi 12's in the 1/4 mile with 320hp at the wheels just wanted to know if it was posi so i can rebuild it thanks for the help

Check the axle tag, there is a piece of metal on one of the bolts, wipe it off and read the nunmbers. It will be like 3L73 which would mean 3.73 Limited slip.
the factory limited slip only grips so much, especailly with age making it real easy to spin one tire...

Check the axle tag on the door sticker and cross reference against any of several lists available (someone has posted a link to one here, I'm sure). This assumes that the axle is the same as originally installed in the truck.

Or check the tag on the differential. Second row of numbers, 1st set of numbers is the gear ratio (for example 3 73 or 3L73) L in the decimal place denotes a traction lock differential. This assumes that the carrier hasn't ever been replaced or the tag been misplaced over the last 14 years.
