As it says, I really need to know if this is possible without doing the upper swap? I've done search after search with no definate answer. I have a scanner with updates and I'm wondering if there is a way to block the EGR codes if I don't do the swap. Thanks in advance, Bailey.

P.S. The only reason for the swap, it is easier to pull a motor, than a transmission.LOL

Didn't quite understand exactly what you are asking for.
It appears you are trying to put a '91 engine into a '93. '91-'94 4.0's all use the exact same block. Worst case scenario you have to strip the '91 engine down to the long block, then install the '93 accesories/engine management components. Basically that means, you should figure out what you need to do to install the EGR system onto the '91 long block. I don't know the specifics, but it should be as easy as figuring out what needs to be swapped from the '93 to the '91 blocks to allow the EGR system to be installed.
