91 ranger 2.3 with 96 exploder 5.0 swap wiring!

i need help with the wiring setup on my ranger! has anyone did a 91 2.3 to 5.0 efi swap here. i really need your help.

i need to know the complete wiring setup pretty much. i need to know what explorer wires need to be spliced into my ranger harness. I might be over complicating it. i have both complete harnesses.

The pre98 explorer drive train wiring is pretty self contained. Once you have the the computer in and everything plugged in you only NEED to connect like 5 of the wires going to the body harness for it to run. Now you will have to add all the other wiring for the gauges to work but it's not hard. You probably will only use half of the wiring going to the body of your 91. I know I had 6 or 7 wires that didn't apply to my ranger when I did my swap and EVERYTHING works.

Ok, well lets take this one step at a time. do you have the new 5.0 engine and trans in the truck bolted down and ready to go?

yes sir i do. it is a 1996 explorer engine and 97 transmission. everything is bolted down that needs such. accessories are no currently setup pwr str, ac but they are on the block already. i have no clue on the condition of the motor and transmission. but it does have compression

next lay out and connect the engine and transmission side of the harness to all the various sensors and controls, then set the pcm in place, start connecting the harness between the pcm and engine harness. you should be left with about a dozen wires/ connectors without homes, most of them will be in the same corner as the brake booster then we can work through each wire/connector one at a time without to much issues.
