'92 Explorer is falling apart.

Ok, you asked......92 EB, 190,000.......Paid $800 for it almost 5 years ago knowing it needed a bit of work, but it ran great, trans worked great too........ an 16 year old had gotten it from mamaw as his first vehicle... it came with a 4" superlift, 3" body, and 33's on AR rims.........here's what I'm in so far..4 ball joints, 4 spindles, 6 complete sets of front bearings and seals, 2 rotors,2 drums, brakes, steering box, all new steering components, 5 shocks, 1 3.73 ttb, 1 complete 3.73 LS rear, 2 turbo mufflers, MAF sensor, coil pack, plugs wires, throttle cable,cruise control unit with cable, hoses, belt, power steering pump, rag joint,rebuilt trans, u-joints, rear drive shaft, fuel pump,FPR, and a new set of 33's............so now I have a bit over $4000 in it, a bit of blood from it's engine fire 3 weeks ago, and countless hours of sweat and a bit of cussing too.........., and the worst thing is.......the closest it's been to off road since I've had it is going across the yard.....but it has driven 1/2 mile down our road through 5 ft. of water at 3:30 am with the wife driving it, and pulled countless people from that water too.........it's earned it's keep,and I'd be lost without it.

Well, I thought I'd be lost without it, but we got hammered in this last storm, and my wife couldn't make it home in her dodge van so I had to go fetch her.....we all made it home, but didn't get back out the drive till 4:30 wednesday.....and as soon as we did, the dealer called and said they had the explorer we had been looking for, so off we went, stuck them with the POS van, and came home with a 99 V-8 awd explorer, What a difference, it's like night and day, it won't go through 5' of water, but who cares , it does everything else much better than the 92...........

ya ive only seen maybe 2 that came through town. i dont get on this site that much unless my truck is ####n up. i might head to pismo this weekend if you down
