93 clutch MC issues

Hey gang!
So due to an accident my 93 explorer XLT project has become my daily driver. This morning when I went to leave work I went to press the clutch and it was as if a rock was behind it. Zero movement at all. So I released it and tried again this time a little firmer and the push rod for the master cylinder snapped in half right at the pedal. While trying to find help on here I saw a post saying that the pedal would not work at all if the quick disconnect at the slave was loose or disconnected. I crawled under the X and sure enough it was almost all the way out and a little pool of brake fluid was on the ground below it. Reseated it and replaced the clip that locked it in place.

So now to my current problem. Can I replace my pushrod on its own? And if so, how does it come out of the MC? Should I just replace the entire MC? Bare in mind that the vehicle is currently at my place of work so that's where any and all work will be done. My Chilton's manual and the Internet have so far been unhelpful. Please help!

Replace the entire clutch master cylinder. There's a C clip that holds the rod in. With the broken one, after you remove it, look at how it comes apart. Once you install the new MC, you can remove the C clip and lift the rod for a quick bleeding of the clutch without needing a second person. There's videos on YouTube that explain this process.

Thank you so much for the help! I successfully bled the new master I believe. But now I cannot get the clutch master cylinder line to go into the slave. I attempted to open the slave bleed valve first but all it would do was push back into the bell housing. Taking a break from that I decided to go ahead and reconnect the master to the slave only to have the slave have zero give. The connection type is a c-clip that goes through the valve on the slave holding the line in place. It originally fit right in and could be clipped easily but now it refuses to budge! Starting week number two in the work parking lot. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've always bled it after all the parts are installed.

It should press in and lock easily
If it does not then there is an issue with the line or clip
