I turn the key and nothing. Nothing will even light up, no wipers, no lights, no instruments not even the under the hood light. Cleaned up the battery terminals, tied to jump start it- nothing. Could it be the starter. Where should I start looking?

im pretty sure if it was the starter the dash and lights would still work.....fuses maybe?

That's not the starter. You have an issue somewhere in your electrical system. First verify the battery is good (have it checked), then start working down the system from there. Battery cables are a possible problem area. They have been known to have internal corrosion.

- battery cable is a good place to start

do a search for this it has been discussed

Thanks for the help fellas. Last night I found the problem. The battery cable had corroded through. Now the only problem is thtat the only place I can find a replacement cable is at the dealer. Thanks Again.

I got one from Pep Boys a few years back. They might still have them available. If not, try http://www.fastpartsnetwork.com (site sponsor here). They sell Factory OEM parts at a discount and are very good to work with.
