93 ranger cruise won't turn off

The cruise on my ranger works fine until you step on the brake. It disengages until you let up on the brake. Then it resumes its speed. I should have to hit the resume switch to return to cruise. The off button on the steering wheel will turn it off

...i am thinking it is in the brake switch where your problem is ocuuring...it sounds like that switch is faulty...:scratch:

Welcome to Explorer Forum! I would also try the brake switch. If that doesn't work, move on towards the steering wheel.

Welcome to the forum! If that switch was faulty wouldn't he have a harder time stopping because the engine would still be pulling if that were the case don't ya think?

...x92exploder....no...it is designed for safety...i had one do the same because of a loose piece of plastic or rubber got into it...
