ok the other day i was dirving home with a egine stand in the back with the rear door open and on of the shocks broke and the door slamed down and bent the door so it wont line up at the top. so i took the door off and when to take the hindges off and the nuts that hold the hindges on are no longer welded to the door. i dont have money to buy another door i just replaced it about 3 months ago after an acident. but need to fix it and get it aligned so water will not come in the back any more. any hel would be great. TIA

So, the nut INSIDE of the lift gate is gone ?

yes that is correct they are floating in side thr door. i was thining about getting some new nuts from the hardware store and welding the inside the hole and geting the door to open and close and the deal with the alignment problem later but the truck was going to be repainted but that has been cancled

wow, you have a task ahead of you.
The only other option is to use slide nuts.
It will require some fancy cutting and will be some what dependable.
Let me think on this some more.
See if I have any better ideas.

hmm i have an idea ok i dont know about ur 93 but my 94 had a recall for the shocks coming off the plate they were mounted to if u really felt like being an a** u could check to see if it was a recall on ur vehicle and if it was try and get them to pay for the fix cause it was there shoty craftsman ship of course u will have to change your story around and tell them something like i was unloading camping gear while i went camping with my FAMILY and the door came down on you or something like that lol worked for my to have it all worked out but it wasnt that badly misaligned

ok got the door fixed yesterday. what i did is welded in tee nuts where the old weld nust were and just bolted the door back on. the door isent aligned right but it opens and closes and keeps water out. i am geting rid of the truck in the summer so im set for a winter beater. now i can spend my days off working on the 68 mustang insted of this pos
