I want to carry bicycles behind my stock '93 Ex, inexpensively. I currently have a stock bumper and ball hitch, no receiver.

What kind of arrangement, and source for parts, do y'all recommend?

(I found a used receiver hitch locally for a '98 Ex, but I don't know how to check if it will fit a '93. The seller is a fairly long drive from here, and he doesn't know, either.)

Use Craigslist...... I bought a class 3 receiver for $20 Drawtite....use there website for fitting....the receiver is all u need for bikes...what brand receiver is it?

My hitch I bought will fit a 1991-2001 explorers I have one on my 93 and on my 01 and they look the same and fit and mount the same

Yeah 91-01 same fitment. Just how many holes you need to drill are different. All you need is a class II for bikes. Should be cheap.
Or you can bolt in a step bumper hitch box. It's just the 2" receiver section that bolts/welds to the step bumper. Curt makes some decent ones.
For just bikes it is plenty strong.

Thanks, fellows. This is a big help.
