A guy at work has posted that he has a '93 Toyota 4x4 4cyl regular cab truck for sale. It has a blown head gasket. Apparantly they took the head to NAPA to see if they needed a new one and NAPA says the head checks out fine, just that the gasket is blown. Its the 22R which is darn near bullet proof, but the head has been off the block for 3 months and the truck probably has been sitting outside (with the hood closed)
it has brand new MT's and has a Warn winch
he wants 1000 obo
I'm SERIOUSLY thinking of putting $700 on the table and towing it away.
Replacing the head gasket should be easy, I'm afraid of engine corrosion from sitting for 3 months with the head off
Any thoughts?
