94 2.3ltr to 92 4ltr tranny swap?

Peering under a 94 Ranger 2.3 liter with dead motor, and it seems to have an A4LD tranny, the guy wants $50 for it.

Will it bolt up & work my '92 4.0 4x4 Ext Cab?

If not, what are the differences? Some help here, $50 is a good deal for a working tranny!

..The 2.9L and 4.0L's will bolt up to the same A4LD..

The one piece bolt pattern will not match up to the 2.3L..
