My '94 Explorer consistently runs bad after a night of raining. It will sputter and bog down for a while until it seems to get warmed up and then it's fine. It rained pretty hard all night the night before last and the Ex got a lot worse yesterday from what my wife says (she's the one that mostly drives it to pick up the kids from school); it was running real rough when she first got in it and then when she got to the school, she said it was idling REALLY high, like around 3k. People at the school were staring at her and she was pretty embarrassed, hah.
I really have no idea what would cause this. So any help is much appreciated. I'm somewhat mechanically inclined, I've worked on this truck since I got it 11 years ago, so I'm comfortable doing normal maintenance and getting under the hood on it. What's weird is I don't think the CEL comes on at all when it does this, so I don't have any codes to go off of.
Thanks for any help!
