This problem started a month ago. Every once and a while when i turned the key all power went out as if no battery. But I would turn the key again and it would start right up. So i finally got sick of this happing so i unhooked the battery and cleaned the cables and battery off. When i tried to start it again it just started clicking. I replaced the starter. Still same problem. Then took the battery in and shot. Replaced it. turned the key and everything looked well till i tryed starting it and all power went again. its my only car and need to get it running. Any advice would be awesome. Thanks for helping.

....I think that you need new battery cables since this is still happening when you installed a known, good battery...

The cables commonly corrode inside the sheathing....;

...I had to just verify with napaonline.com since the 91 and 94 X are similar but different..;)

Note: there is a problem on the wording of the negative cable on that link (it says positive)...Those are the exact items for my 91 and they show for the 94 also, so it's good info..After searching for mine, those were the BEST cables I have found to date..:biggthump

Thank you. Thats what i was thinking with reading the other post but i just thought i would ask just to make sure since i have already spent alot of money on it. Your awesome. I will take it apart tomorrow and hope that we were both right.

...No problem...I do hope that it solves your problem as it is very common...

...When you have this type of problem it generally wears out your battery, alt, etc. and does get costly....

...Make sure to fully charge your battery again before starting it with the new cables...I would hate to see you post up and say it didn't work because of a dead battery...:D

If the cables don't fix it, it could be the solenoid on the passenger side wall.

YOUR AWESOME TBARS4. Thanks for your help. That fixed the problem and those were the right parts as you said. Thanks again.
