95-01 billet grill CHEAP, hurry

thanx man, thats what i was thinking...how are ties gonna work. but i guess they wouldn't use them if they didn't. also i'll see what you mean with the emblem, i'll get it on there one way or another. one more thing, do you guy's know if they sell grills for the bumper? i was gonna put a 99-01 bumper on my 96, but i decided to put the xenon air dam on instead and keep my chrome bumper. i don't see any one that sells a grill insert for a 96 style bumper. for 99's and so on they have them.

There are two small screws and bolts. Its easy as pie once you get the old grille shell off.

i thought that you didn't have to take the old grill shell off, that it tied to the old grill? also, for those with a 95-97, how do you get the hood open with a billet or speed grill on there. the latch is through the grill part. you know what i mean.

He means that you have to take the grill shell off on order to take the emblem off and zip tie the grille on.

If you have rubber fingers and tools you can take the emblem off without removing the grille. But not everyone is like me and you have to take the grille off to get in there. Removing the grille for the first time is tricky. Open the hood and remove the 4 screws and 4 bolts on top. Then remove the side marker lights. There will be a screw on each side that is behind the marker lights. For the bottom... just pull. The spring clips will probably come off the grille and stay in the truck. Just use a pair of needle nose and pop them out and put them back on the grille for reinstallation.

On my 95 and on my 98, the logo is held on with small bolts. On my 95, I opened the hood with this latch extender that came with the grille.

sisdeswipe, what grill do you have? b/c maybe not all grills for a 95-98 will come with a latch extender. also, thats awesome. where does it extend to? is it so you can open it from under the hood instead of the grill?

removing the shell

hey guys. i have a question about removing the grille shell because i am installing one of those grilles too. How many screws are connecting the shell to the body and where are they? i found the ones on top. Thanks for the help

just wondering if anyone with the billet grill ever thought of painting it. if you have a all black x and the billet grille is chrome, kinda throws it off, so what about painting the billet grill black. so it matches? any ideas?
