Hello, Im kinda new to the whole ford thing and as well as this site. ive had my explorer for 2 months now and the thing is mint inside and out, it has got 300k on it and drove like a top till today.
Half way to work i felt a nuge (like a tranny slip) and the O/D light started to flash, i just thought that something was being screwy cause it was killer cold outside but then on the way home it was still on and was shifting funny at times then i found this site and read up on the O/d light and went with what ppl were saying and disconected the battery to reset the computer. then i started it and the light was off but when i went to drive it I had NO GEARS not forward, 2, 1, or reverse???? I know mechanically it has to be sound, so it has to be electric either (solenoid, switch, module, sensor). something like that cause disconnecting a battery doesnt make ur gears just dissappear like in minutes, sorry its long but i need some pointers im trying to keep it cheep.
thanks
