96 XLT 4X4 lift kits ?

I have a very nice 4X4 96 XLT and I off-roading 1-2 times a week. I often bottom out and I am looking to buy a lift kit. I am deciding what inch lift (thinking about a 3-4) and what type. It will be a suspension lift. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas about the inch and the type of kit please post or e-mail me.

Superlift and trailmaster both have 4" lift kits, but they a very expensive. You can also do a 2" TT/Shackle lift or a body lift. Thats about it.

The best budget lift IMO is the good ol' TT (tortion twist) with shackles + a 3" body lift.

Total: 2" susp and 3" body = 5"

This is a good setup for 33s with minimal, or no, trimming.

Best part is, you can do this for about $225 + the cost of an allignment.
