97 5.0 radiator removal

HI..

Does any know how to seperate the a/c condensor from the radiator on a 97 5.0L Mountaineer/Explorer?

I am trying to remove the radiator due to a pin hole leak. The A/C condensor is attached and I can not see how to get it unattached. I am hoping I do not have to disconnect any of the a/c lines.

My chilton's manual does not show any detail in this procedure.

Anybody know? Im doing the same thing right now and cant get the condensor loose from the radiator.

On that note though, the mechanic who was doing the work on my '96, DID open the refrigerant system to replace the radiator. According to him, there was no other way.

Yeah i just searched and read that other one. Thanks Robb. What a PITA! On my 94 you can pull the thing in like 5 minutes. Ill keep trying!
