97 EB Explorer with 135K miles. Help - Last year the seperate CD changer went out and to no avail I haven't found anybody who could fix it. The unit won't change CD's so I am trying to install an aftermarket radio head unit. The original radio head is a JBL premium unit. I purchased what I thought was a direct connect wire harness which didn't fit. The first connector fit however the second smaller square one with two rows of prongs was too large for the original wire connector on the vehicle. After searching several Google sites for what I thought was a wire diagram I am no closer to figurining out the wire mess. So here I am. Does anyone know where I can get the original CD changer looked at or is it not worth it? I would like to keep the original radio head unit but if it's going to cost me an arm, leg and what's left of my head after the war, I'll run wires to the speakers and install the after market unit.
