97 exp will not start

My 97 wont start when you turn the key nothing !! So i checked the battery ok checked the silinoid the ignition wire has no power when i bypass the soliniod it starts right up what can i do to correct this any help would be great Todd

Replace the starter selniod.

Check the starter relay,
And, Maxi fuse #5, 50A, starter relay-ignition switch fuse

I tried all fueses and relys all seem fine!!

Does the starter relay click when you try to start it?

no click at all it will start if i bypass or jump the silinoid .

Then either the starter relay is bad, or the wiring from the switch to the relay.
Try swapping the starter relay with another one in the box.

I tried that all did the same .. is there a neatraul safety switch?

1-changed silinoid
2-checked all fues
3-checked ignition switch
4-swaped around relays
5-checked trany wires n safty switch

what else can it be ? also it does have the factory security system but theft light is not on ..

CHECK THE KEYS. To deactivate the Anti theft you have to use the key. Try it with both keys. That happened to me on my '98 explorer, and it was the sensor crank (something like that) and they had to re-code the key.
