My 97 wont start when you turn the key nothing !! So i checked the battery ok checked the silinoid the ignition wire has no power when i bypass the soliniod it starts right up what can i do to correct this any help would be great Todd
here is what I have done so far
1-changed silinoid
2-checked all fues
3-checked ignition switch
4-swaped around relays
5-checked trany wires n safty switch
what else can it be ? also it does have the factory security system but theft light is not on ..

CHECK THE KEYS. To deactivate the Anti theft you have to use the key. Try it with both keys. That happened to me on my '98 explorer, and it was the sensor crank (something like that) and they had to re-code the key.
