97 explorer 4.0 eddie b
hello people, I'm new to this but I'm just gonna jump right in. So i was just given, not purchased, a 1997 ford explorer eddie bauer with the 4.0. I received it due to mechanical issues that they didn't wanna deal with and i dropped a fuel pump in it and it runs pretty darn good...the problem is several electrical components not working despite having good fuses. i had to replace a wire in the drivers door to fix all the power windows. Now heres a list of the other things i can't figure out, 1.low beams (high beams work), 2.all interior lights,3. the fog lights, 4. both front seats will go up and down but not front or back, probably a few other things i can't think of right now. any suggestions would be appreciated, thank u

Get the 2nd gen wiring diagrams linked below in my sig and trace each relevant circuit with a multimeter.

However for the bulbs, I'd make sure they aren't blown out and/or if power is getting to them when turned on. Seats, you probably have the motors in a bind due to wear or insufficient lube on the track(s).

Fog lights will only come on with low beams or Parking lamps

Most problems with the headlights that are not fuses or relays are in the multifunction switch (turn signal stalk)

Interior lights not coming on check the dimmer switch could also be issue with the main light switch
Do the dome lights come on when door is opened?
