97 explorer trans. problem

I replaced the clutch and slave cylinder. three weeks later it does not want to go in gear. with a little coaxing it will shift. also it has developed a growl in the right front cv shaft or hub. Would this cause hard shifting? At times it acts like the clutch is out again. I'm at a loss as to what it could be. Any thoughts or ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ed.

I doubt the front end noise is related. Id put money on the syncros. If you end up replacing the trans, get a 01 or up. Its got the upgraded syncros
