Ok heres what my Audio system looks like in the rear.

Can someone tell me what the tiny white box is for? And how I can test if its working?

Also whats the silver thing on the top right?

Basically I trying to figure out whats wrong with my system...I have a aftermarket cd player installed and just recently my rear sub was going in and out...And finally stopped completely.... I tested the sub and I know thats dead but need to know how to test or troubleshoot everything else....Because I tried to replace the sub with a normal 6.5" speaker just to see if i get sound and I dont....

So can someone tell me if those 2 items are and how to troubleshoot them. Thanks.

That is the amp for the Factory HU (head unit) this is not the problem as you have to bypass it when you insatll an after market HU.

I do not believe the white box has anything to do with the sound system. It has been 5 years since I put a CD player in so don't quote me on that.

As far as wanting a working sub again you would be best off using an aftermarket amp. MTX makes an AMP/sub combo that bolts right in to the factory sub location.

I think they go for about $350 on Ebay new. From Crutchfield they are around $500-$550.
