97 OHV Shifting Up & Down @ 50mph & Up

Can anyone tell me why my explorer can't decide whether it wants to be in 4th or 5th gear when I'm over 50mph? It shifts smooth all the way through the gears but then shifts up & down when cruising at 55mph. It feels like it's right on the verge of shifting up or down & can't decide which gear it wants to stay in.

Mine does this but it's because I'm on 31s and haven't changed my vss gear so my speedo is low by ~10% and shift points are off a bit. I've actually gotten pretty used to it.

Might want to check your speedo with gps or some other method. Just a thought.

Speedometer is right on & I'm running stock road tires.

Figured it out on my own. It ended up being the TPS.
