97 V8 no start after sitting

Been fighting to get my 97 back on the road. First things first it has to start! New battery, battery terminals, checked ground to block. Go to start, turn key to on position, dash lights up, turn key, single loud click but no start. After a few times of that happening and now nothing comes on at all! Before this it had started fine each time I went over to mess with it.

Any ideas on where/what to check?

Check the wires connection on the starter.

thats my next step.. vehicle isnt at my house so i gotta make time to go work on it. thanks for the responses guys.

thinking it may be a ground issue since i now have nothing when i turn the key to the on position.
