98-01 front bumper on '97 XLT?

Hey guys,
My front bumper is rusting really bad on the inside and I got to thinking, would a 98-01 front bumper fit on my Ex? I really like the way those looked and if I could find one cheap at a salvage yard or something, that would be something different to add. Anybody ever done this or know if it would work? Thanks!

i should fit, just make sure you get the brackets from the truck you get the bumper from.

i someone could back me up on this that would be great. i'v heard it but never hurts to be safe.

I have a '96 bumper on my '99.. so it should work the other way, right?

Yeah, a few people have done this mod. Will bolt right up.

actually it would be the 99-01 style bumper. 98 is the same as yours now. all it is is 4 big bolts. thats all. real easy. even 1 person can do it, but 2 is nice. heres mine i swapped from a 99 to my 96:
