I don't know what else to do. This car belongs to my friend who called me saying it was making a noise. He drove it to my house. The noise was the radiator fan hitting the shroud. So we replaced the fan and went ahead and changed the coil, spark plugs, wires, Now it won't start. Now after 4 weeks and over $500 it still won't start. The plugs are gaped right , firing order is right , it's getting spark. new map sensor, temp sensor, crankshaft sensor, tore down to change timing chain but it was top dead center and tensioner was perfect so put new gasket on and put back together. checked fuses and relays, checked reset fuel, checked security system, sprayed starting fluid and it will NOT start. Fuel in shredder valve. I don't know what else to do . My friend thinks I messed it up by changing the plugs , so now he's mad at me . I let him use my second car in the mean time and I have paid for most of these repairs. I want to scream, cry and want my garage back. any advice will be so appreciated

Check the crankshaft position sensor. Maybe the broken fan whacked it.

Firstly - No good deed goes unpunished.

Secondly - What the hell did you spend $500 on without knowing what the actual problem was?

If you're getting spark, oxygen and fuel it should do something. If everything is getting there at the right time it should run. You're missing something.

Have you checked the fuel pressure (with a gauge) at the fuel rail with key ON? Have you tried spraying starting fluid into the throttle body while cranking? Have you checked compression?

Below is a link to the "no start diagnostic procedure". Follow it.

I once wasted 2 day's trying to figure out why my daughter's PT Cruiser would not start after I replaced the timing belt and water pump. Torn it all apart again only to find out it was out of gas. It ran to put it up on ramps, but then the fuel pump was no longer submerged. The simple things will get you.
