98 sohc downstream 02 sensor not connected

so im under the truck and i find out my 02 sensor is not connected i have the pigtail in my hand but i dont know where to connect it to cuz i cant see a damn thing anybody got any pics?

sorry, did have my exhaust on when i took this, but it might help you even more seeing it without it on. its the blue conector on the side of the trans.

but what i don't understand is, how did it even run with it not connected, or not throw a check engine light.

How it ran I do not know but it was/could still be running rich and I was hearing a vacuum leak so I assumed that was the problem
