98 xlt upgrades

i have a 98 rear wheel drive XLT explorer. its a V8. i want to make some mods to it. i want to start small and work my way up. if the inside and out. any ideas would be great thanks.

Another '98 XLT, good to see. I personaly have only done a few mods, mainly small ones. My first was a K&N Cold Air Intake, which I highly suggest (as for what brand, do your research, many people say many things, find one you like). I also have done the throttle cable mod. I noticed a big difference once I got that excess slack out. Heres a wright up (http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=166562). Note: Both of those were with the 4.0 SOHC. Finding a CAI for a V8 I (think?) is harder, just look around. And the throttle cable mod can be done for any engine.

Please use the search function. There is so much info on potential mods you won't know what to do with yourself. A few basic ones are the CAI mentioned above, a new exhaust system, tuner chip, new headers (Torque Monster), etc. You can also add lights 31'' tires without a lift, and a million other goodies.

A good way to figure out what you want is to go into the registry thread or picture threads, and find trucks you like and then find out what mods those guys or girls have done. Good luck...

i was thinking u can do exhaust or put intake or sct tune it and headers and some other stuff
