After not driving my '91 XLT for about 6 months
the A/C will only blow HOT air. It's like the heater is always on. Anyone else run into this ???

Welcome to the site! Hopefully we can answer all your questions.

Do you hear the A/C compressor cycling when you turn it on? If not, you may have a bad relay, no freon, or a shot compressor (although the compressor usually makes lots of nasty noise when it dies). If you do hear the compressor running, does it also blow only hot air if you have the vent only on? If so, then the blend door for cold/hot air may be stuck in the hot postion.

Run searches for a/c and Heat and you'll find lots of threads relating to your problem and lots of info on how to diagnose and fix.

Good Luck!

Check the heater valve and make sure it works. That is a common problem.

Had this same problem with my 97. The door for the cold /hot blend was broke. actually the door was good rather the rod connection to that door was broke...pull down glove box and look there
