I went to autozone they have the diagram but it's real small, made to be printed out,if you have a printer,I don't, still in the truck go there and grab it.

The local dealership (the only Ford place we have) doesn't go back that far (93)! I can't get the wiring diagram here. I have tomorrow off so I will pull the air box right out if I have to and trace the wires to the fuse box. Also thought about switching relays for a quick test. That doesn't explain 12v at the switch and less than a volt at the compressor though, just thinking. Ordered a accumulator to, won't be in town so I will have to get it on Monday.

Progress?

I played around a little and did some research waiting on the rain to stop. I found out how to properly test a diode and my multi-meter has that function, cool. There is a round 4 pin connector just in front of the accumulator, 2 wires for the low pressure switch and 2 goto the compressor. I'm getting battery volts at the switch (11-12 volts) and only .06 at the compressor. That connector in front of the accumulator, I'm getting battery volts in to it and only .06 volts out of it, same as the compressor. So the problem must be between the connector and compressor, I'm thinking I'm not getting a good enough connection at that 4 pin. I assume theres nothing in the their so maybe it's just a bad connection? Would a bad one only let .06 volts through?

FREE wire diagram is available at the Auto Zone web site. May not be your exact year but, close enough.

Aloha, Mark

Vacuum?

I should have time tomorrow to replace the part and fix up the wiring. Do you know if I have to vacuum the system before I charge it with Duracool? I was told that Duracool doesn't need it vacuumed, no pressure in the system.

Wtf?

I replaced the accumulator, fixed up the wires and tested everything. I still only get less than a volt at the compressor. I don't know what else I can do. Could it be the low pressure switch? The wires at the compressor? This is confusing me, WTF. I haven't charged anything yet, I want to make sure the compressor will kick in before I do that. And just in case I have to open it again I don't want to waste time or money charging it. It should kick in when on the defrost setting to de-humidify. What am I missing?
