A/C has low output but is cold

I have a 2005 explorer ha pushes cold air, but the volume is ver low. He two side vents almost show no air coming out while the two center vents push air out at about half of the volume that it should be. Any suggestions? I thought maybe the issue would have been an ac filter after a friend had the same issue but in his ford edge, but I have since learned that my 2005 model does not have one, or have I been misinformed? Thanks for any help
