A/C not blowing cold air

Hi guys would like some advice form the experts.
I have 2003 explorer XLS yesterday i turned on the A/C but after a few minutes i noticed the car was not cooling and i put my hand on the central vent the one driver side and the air temp was basically regualr ambient temparature air. Then i moved my hand to the passenger side and air was kind of cool enough for my to notice this. Any help would be appreciated.

My 94 needs to be recharged about twice a year,open hood,start truck,AC on high. See if the compressor is kicking in (doubt it ) then go to wal mart and buy 3 cans of R 134a and the gauge and hose to hook it up.

Hook up to the low side and start putting it in until you get 35psi with the compressor running ,not perfect but good enough and cheap.

The compressor is working i can hear it when pushing the A/C switch.
